About Me - Why I'm the right person to find your home.

I am a married Mum of two, a landlord of buy to let properties, a serviced office professional and an all round property fan with a real love for my local area of Cheshire.

My property career began with a top London residential estate agency in the lettings department, gaining valuable insight into the property rental industry, understanding the needs of the applicant, tenant, landlord and agent. From there, I began a very successful career in commercial property, working for the world's largest serviced office provider where I let and managed office spaces in London and Manchester.

Following a relocation to Manchester and becoming a Mum, I embarked on building my own buy-to-let property portfolio which I market, let and manage myself. Add into the mix two house renovations, independently marketing and selling our home and purchasing our new Cheshire family home you can see how my experience in property stands me in good stead to now assist others

Why I Started Fiona Jacobs Property Finder?

When my husband and I relocated from London to Manchester, the excitement of a new chapter was overshadowed by the logistical challenge of property viewings. With demanding work schedules, taking time off to visit potential homes was nearly impossible. We found ourselves relying on family members to attend first viewings on our behalf. While their support was deeply appreciated, their feedback wasn’t always entirely objective—and I couldn’t help but feel guilty for asking them to take time out of their busy lives to help us.

Fast forward a few years and I was doing the same for friends moving out of London. They had a deadline to move by as they were expecting a baby and houses in Alderley Edge were selling fast! They were finding it impossible to get up to see houses as quickly as they needed to, found that they were taking days off work to come to view houses that turned out to be unsuitable and what should have been an exciting time for them turned into a burden and a stress. I started doing the initial viewings for them, reporting back on the findings and engaging with estate agents until they were able to travel up themselves, taking the pressure off them whilst keeping the process moving. This approach meant that they managed to secure their perfect family home just in time for the arrival of their baby.

Prior to this, my university degree involved me relocating to France and Spain for a year and navigating the challenges of finding accommodation in two foreign cities. Looking back, if I'd have had a local, experienced property expert to help me with the move it would have taken away so much stress!

These experiences are what inspired me to create Fiona Jacobs Property Finder. I understand first hand how stressful and complicated the process can be when you’re managing it from afar or with a packed schedule.
